GHACEM partners with KNUST to launch a cement ratio mixing application for masons

Ghana Cement Manufacturing Company (Ghacem) has launched an application on Google and IOS platforms to help masons know the safe use of cement as well as the application in the country.
The app, according to Ghacem management, was to teach masons across the country the cement ratio mixes to boost their confidence and skills in the built environment of the economy.
The online application launched in collaboration with Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) aimed to correct the abuse of cement products among others in the sector.
Speaking on a Ghana Yensom morning show hosted by Kwame Appiah Kubi in a one-on-one interview, Mr. Benny Fifi Eshun, director of marketing and public relations at Ghacem, said that the introduction of the app aimed to correct some of the myths about using cement.
“Often people use cement without knowing the proper ratios for quality work,” he said.
In addition to online platforms, the company, with the help of some Construction Management and Technology (CTM) students from KNUST, has set up a mobile training van that travels from area to area. the other to provide on-site training for masons.
“All masons who participate in the Ghacem training exercise are given pots, trowels, washing cans, among others,” he added.
All of this aims to make the work of a mason understandable, ”he noted.
