Giannis Antetokounmpo drops daring Ja Morant take that will thrill Memphis fans
Ja Morant’s leadership and spectacular talent led the Memphis Grizzlies beyond their preseason expectations. They own the third-best record in the NBA and are poised for one of the highest Western Conference playoff rankings.
Morant burst onto the scene as a certified star, averaging 26.8 points, 6.9 assists and 5.8 rebounds per game. Behind his fantastic scoring and game, the Grizzlies have a top five offense although Morant is only a 20-point scorer on the roster. The Grizzlies, as one of the smallest markets in the league, are led to glory by Morant and a group of other young studs.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, likewise, led a small-market Milwaukee Bucks team to their first championship in decades. Before the All-Star Game, he praised Morant. Antetokounmpo claimed he has improved every year and could lead the Grizzlies to a championship.
Bucks’ Giannis Antetokounmpo on Grizzlies’ Ja Morant: “He’s gotten better year after year. He has an incredible year this year, crazy. I know he is a very humble child. I know he works extremely hard. Why not? Why can’t he win a championship in Memphis? pic.twitter.com/9eI0ZBJmDX

Memphis has the potential to compete for titles in the future. They are one of the youngest teams in the league and have other young players like Jaren Jackson Jr. and Desmond Bane who could join Morant in future All-Star games. The front office also has what it takes to create a sensation during the off-season.
Morant is relishing the moment of his first All-Star nomination. Few teams are better positioned for the future than the Grizzlies and Morant is the ultimate reason why. He is one of the best players in the game just three years into his career. Leading his team to the title like Antetokounmpo did will further cement his legacy.
